The biggest advice I’ve gotten is to not use someone else’s trading style. Develop your own; they can teach you theirs, but you won’t be able to copy it perfectly because you are not the person teaching it.
Find out what works for yourself and go from there. Everything you learn can be applied to other markets as long as you know how your strategy works.
If anyone sells you a “90% win-rate” strategy, etc., and claims it will make you money, their product is selling you a dream, not the skills.
Learn to take a loss before they run into larger losses.
The biggest tip is to trust your trades, and if you don’t, then you didn’t trade; you gambled. That’s not trading. Trusting your trades means trusting yourself and knowing what you’re doing.
Take a break and move on. Your losses will always be there. Don’t rush to fix what’s already lost. Work on getting it right so it doesn’t repeat.
Don’t become stupid because of one loss. You’re not going to die. You have no need for revenge. You’ll be back tomorrow better.
