Main Hype Thread - Summertime: A True Social Experience

Something I´ve only recently truly understood.

I have a brother I used to think was distant, like we didn’t really have a connection, even though I can go deep into existential topics with him like with no one else.

The main reason for that is the total absence of any form of feelings between us, which I used to take as a sign of “not loving/caring for him”. He came to visit me again this week, and suddenly it was clear to me, that this very absence of any form of “spike”/energetic intensity between us only speaks to the great neutrality, i.e. unconditional acceptance we have for each other.

No expectations, no stress, no trauma bonding, just acceptance and freedom of expression.

Okay this is really really cool

I’d very much like that. As I think about it, it’s not so much about intensity as it is about contrast. Intensity by its very nature provides the contrast necessary to be able to integrate, but I also can indeed see that the same contrast can be gained by what you called radical inner peace and freedom.

The big question is how to get to that radical inner peace and freedom. Let there be Summertime :grinning:

And let me also reassure you – Summertime is not designed to take away or diminish intensity itself. It is not commentary on intensity at all. If I had to reduce the feeling of it to a simple concept (it is much larger than this), it is:

Vigilance and intensity are necessary and inherent concepts in society. But do you need to employ so much of it while trying to enjoy this wonderful night out with friends?

So it’s more like measured intensity, rather than being always on. If you are drawn to intense transformative experiences, that is obviously your right to do so and Summertime is not going to step on that. Yes, there will be an overall sense of calmness, but remember that a strong element of Summertime is radical authenticity and living free in the moment. You essentially own who you are. It is… very interesting.

Dang- this is going to be a tough one to push off running for a couple months.

Just ordered a Spartan/GLM Essence custom with modules like Monk mode/Eye of the storm/Stronger - basically to lock in for the next couple months and not go out as much.

Stoked to run summer time in Summer, but it sounds like it would conflict with that goal?

I don’t know if today I was getting Summertime pre-sults but I was feeling like summer was there while staying under the warm sun of the last day of Winter.

Even better, while I was driving, a lot of pleasant feelings came up to my conscious awareness and for the very first time I felt I was experiencing every single moment with the filter of those positive feelings. It was like re-experiencing the sensory world (especially the visual side of things) as the grown-up child version of myself.

It was a very unique experience that enriched a lot the present moment.

So, even the most ordinary experience of driving was entertaining in its own.

Just by connecting to my own version of the most beautiful Summertime related feelings.

The Mundane Spectacular

Tuesday morning. The dishwasher needs unloading. The commute is the same commute. The grocery list is milk, eggs, the thing you always forget. None of it has changed. But something in you has — and now the ordinary is practically vibrating.

This feature develops genuine, felt enjoyment in the activities most people endure rather than experience — including socializing. This is not a gratitude practice, nor reframing, not the mental trick of telling yourself this should be enough. Actual fun — the kind that shows up in the body as a grin you didn’t plan, a hum you didn’t start, the strange discovery that packing a lunch has become somehow entertaining. The shift isn’t in the task. It’s in what your system does with it. The dishwasher doesn’t change. You do — and suddenly the clink of plates has a rhythm and the rhythm has a pleasure and the pleasure has been there this whole time, waiting for someone to stop calling it mundane. What compounds is the most dangerous thing of all: evidence that your ordinary life, exactly as it is, was always more fun than you were allowing it to be.

It will not. We are launching soon and can answer more questions then. It will stack well with everything. It’s not the same “calming” that you find from Dragon Reborn: Regeneration’s Inner Spa effect. It’s just different and I can actually see it enhancing gym performance rather than the concerns people had with Regeneration.

It will most certainly work well with GLM.

Hey @SaintSovereign
Wonder if you could put my mind at rest about something?
We’ve touched on this already, but I guess I’m kind of covering a different angle here.

Here’s a response I got from Support regarding DR: Regeneration:
"DR: Regeneration is explicitly designed to shift your nervous system into a parasympathetic (rest/digest/heal) state. This is intentional – deep healing happens when you’re relaxed, not when you’re in action mode.

The titles you mentioned (Hero: TLTB – Earth/Fire, Spartan, Wanted, Diamond, Emperor) are designed to help you take action, build energy, perform, and engage with the world. These require a more sympathetic (active/alert) nervous system state.

When you run both simultaneously, you’re essentially asking your nervous system to be in two opposing states at once – rest AND action. This creates conflict and, as you’ve experienced, the result is often that neither works optimally."

I’ve seen you talk about Summertime being/feeling different than DR: Regeneration, but what I’m wondering about is if Summertime is also “designed to shift your nervous system into a parasympathetic (rest/digest/heal) state”, then how would it not have a similar deadening effect on action taking scripting?

I don’t mean this at all in a critical or challenging way; I’m just confused about this point and seeking understanding! :pray:t2:

Like right now, I’m running Emperor: Executive and RICH and have a need to take action and want to have that drive to do so.

But on the other hand, Summertime looks wonderful, and what I’m longing for in my stack is a kind of ‘Synergy: Carpe Vitam’ style combo, where I’m driven, disciplined and hard-working, but it’s not a joyless slog that makes it a struggle to start/maintain action-taking; instead I want to feel like I’m loving my life and enjoying the work, including all the challenges that throws up too

Welcome @mikenite77 .

Because it isn’t the nervous system regulation that conflicts with a physically demanding sub. It’s the scripting that draws you deeper inward for emotional processing. Those two together create a very, very deep inward state, and that’s what causes the potential conflict (which may not even exist, just theoretically).

Nervous system regulation on its own should not cause an issue – in some people, hard workouts actually act as regulation. It’s when you mix the deep inner spa effect (which encompasses the healing) AND nervous system regulation that we’re looking at an issue.

Summertime has nervous system regulation, but also has a “present moment” focus rather than drawing you deep within, you end up in the “now,” while still experiencing its effects. Thus, there’s no concern for any kind of sedative effect. Calm does not mean tired or sleepy. It simply means, “at rest.” Willing and ready to engage in the moment as freely as possible.

@Layman . I know your question is directed at Saint, and I certainly want to hear his explanation, but I can assure you of this from years of therapy and something I’ve been striving for, a HEALTHY mind and parasympathetic system can and SHOULD be able to oscillate between those states you mention as needed, with very little to no bleedover.

That’s the rub, in this day and age very few of us have a healthy mind and parasympathetic system, especially those who live in mid-sized to large cities (about 90% of the population).

I’d love to hear Saint’s response. (edit, never mind, Saint just responded above) :grinning:
