Why stick with one, when you can pick both in the vote?

The Dragon Reborn series is more for teenagers and young adults. The Game of Thrones is for adults.

The Rand Al’Thor actor seriously needs to up his alpha male presence. He still is a bit too much on the teenage side, for me.

Was super excited for the the TV series but stopped watching it after the very first episode. Couldn’t stomach the story changes which didn’t make any sense. It was ridiculous.

I liked season 1. Season 2 had too much of a teenage fantasy comedy vibe for me.

Though in the Wheel of Time, the two dragons are identical, and each one is both crimson and gold.

Fair enough. Wheel of Time is more classic Epic Fantasy in the tradition of Lord of the Rings. Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire) went for a grittier approach that intentionally subverted those epic fantasy tropes.

But the marketing/positioning of the Wheel of Time tv show does sometimes skew more to YA.

I still enjoy it.

They’re working under very different constraints as an Amazon Prime fantasy genre show.

They have a smaller budget and a lot more source material to work with than in the case of Game of Thrones.

I can understand and forgive the choices. They’re attempting to preserve the underlying themes more so than the original plot details. And they’re doing so under the uncertainty of show renewal from season to season.

I’m willing to take the journey.
