Main Disc. Thread - Fire vs. Saint Round 4 [The Battle is On!]

@emperor_obewan Where is this quote from? Where is the link? Or is this your quote? The following quote “For her, for love, for the silent symphony that still binds us…” I know where that quote is from, but you combined those 2 quotes together as if they were said together, and I’m not finding that to be the case.

Take a look at the thread where Saint made his hint (above). You will find what you seek :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok I see it now. Only the second part was quoted in the forum, but the whole quote is from The Revelation of Zero Point PDF.

@Uber_Elysium @Joa23 @bujin Khan Black was released 2 months before the Project Aeon tease in the Revelation of Zero Point PDF. I could be wrong, but I don’t think they would release Khan Black and then tease its successor, or alternative, two months later. But again, I could be wrong.

So would I—especially given that the recon tech is an entirely new development, and Fire has only just decided to release something that had been in the making for four years.

There must be something about how the new recon tech works that makes AEON ‘ripe.’ I doubt it’s just a coincidence.

Self-exploration and introspection have been tremendously enhanced by the new tech, and I believe that’s the main reason we’re about to see AEON released. I think, the title itself will largely reflect that—and all what it entails.

The way I see it, looking at the different hints… you have Saint hinting at the time that he was running Khan Black so he could go on this same “Project Aeon” journey with everyone else. But, he’s also since said “Aeon has been completely overhauled. I would suspend all expectations”. It’s possible that the technology has gone beyond the need to have to run KB first to gain benefit out of it.

I think the hints given in that last two pages gives some clues as to the feel of the sub and its goals. Also there seem to be hints that sound and the idea of the “frequency bridge”, or at least of using the senses as a bridge, using the sense of hearing and maybe the music of the everyday world to reach the goals was part of the original intention in the design.

But those are just some of the clues from the pdf. And it’s likely those notions may have morphed into something bigger in the meantime. Either way, it does sound as if it was the hinted successor to KB, but is no longer precisely the same as what was hinted.

You are quite observant.

EDIT: But again, everyone — I haven’t read the new script yet. I only know that it’s been overhauled, upgraded and that a lot of time has been spent on it.

Touché. I stand corrected?

No at all, mate.

AEON has been in the making for over four years:

KB got released two years ago.

So I think you’re right - it’s not going to be a successor to KB.

:spades:

Well this is all semantics. What we have are the facts disclosed above and in that STKS thread and the KB thread. I’m saying the original intention may have been as something building on the concepts and outcomes that KB assisted people with, and it’s clear that the Revelator PDF was hinting at this sub, but two years after that hint was dropped and Saint said what he did, things have changed and its grown into something that is no longer simply a continuation of those KB themes. Perhaps there no longer is a successor to KB, or it has forked off from the original intent, if you catch my drift.

I’m actually not so sure anymore lol. Saint seems to think Kenobi’s comments are very perceptive. The timing does kind of line up actually. KB is 2 years old and took 2 years to make. It started 4 years ago just like Aeon.

I remember Saint being cautious with the release of KB. Making ST4 locked until everyone ran the other stages. Threatening to not release it. Just like he threatened not to release Fire’s masterpiece whenever we didn’t behave like good little children. Then he was surprised at how well everyone was using KB. Plus it’s his favorite sub.

So maybe Aeon is the more advanced KB. The overhauled KB. Being developed alongside KB. Maybe KB was the prototype. Evangelion Unit-00. Maybe Aeon is the production model. Evangelion Unit-02

It’s probably a long shot but maybe Aeon is an update for Emperor Fitness

We are responsible for whatever we put out, and we’re not releasing anything that could lead to a detrimental outcome for our customers or ourselves.

Khan Black was a new, revolutionary product, and despite the fact that @Fire himself pleaded with people not to jump to stage 4 without having run the entire product, we knew people would do it anyway and then blame us for bad results as if we didn’t provide detailed recommendations to not do this. And so we did a public test to see how the title fared before releasing ST4, and that strategy worked out beautifully.

If @Fire wanted AEON released already, it would’ve been out already. Do not lie or misconstrue our care and caution for our customers like this again, because that will never change.

EDIT: Everyone, I am not your scapegoat and making comments like this (which I find highly manipulative) will not entice us to release anything that we feel is unsafe, or that the customers aren’t ready for.

Why only now, then?

The new recon tech was my guess, but it seems to me there’s more to that. Good.

Let’s wait and see what happens next.

:spades:

The obvious answer is that in the time since first announcing it, we’ve developed the technology to release it safely while improving results.

If a title isn’t ready for release, then it just isn’t ready for release.

That update would be a great surprise to me, but I would welcome it with my whole black heart. lol

Dude, I didn’t mean anything by this comment. I was just talking to Sub Zero the way someone would talk to another person about someone else. It wasn’t directed towards you, so don’t take it so personally. I guess I can’t expect that in an open forum like this. SMH. Never mind. I do see how that comment comes off, being that this is your company. But when exactly did I lie?

The issue is with the threatening and the little children comment.

Obviously we wouldn’t release something that the vast majority would abuse - nothing to do with threatening people to follow recommendations, and everything to do with ensuring people don’t mess themselves up.

So please don’t devolve our care for the customer into “threatening to follow like little children”, and please don’t make it out as if it’s @SaintSovereign’s fault, when we each have the ultimate say over each of our titles - and I said AEON was not ready for many years, as 99% of people would not be able to utilize it in it’s old form.

I said this before and I’ll say it again - if we logically reversed our care for the customer, and instead of holding back and perfecting, simply let everything out immediately without a care in the world, this would be incredibly immoral. Would it get us more sales and customers? Sure, but it would not be good, results would suffer and chaos would ensue.

So everyone, let’s enjoy the hype train, avoid such comments, keep the guesses coming and let us deliver a finale you’ll remember.

Again, not my intention, but I see how you would take it that way. This comment was just a joke in the middle of my comparison of the two titles. The overall message of my post doesn’t support this comment that you’ve singled out. It’s not a rant or jab or whatever. Just a stupid throw away line that means nothing.

I found that amusing that you replaced the word “forewarn” with “threat” since I knew you were talking to me, but many people could misunderstand that, and it concerns the most important matter; our safety and well-being which SC takes care of really well as these are really potent tools.

It’s okay. Just be careful next time.

The issue with posting on a public forum is that it can be misinterpreted by others even if you joked with the cleanest of intentions.

So be a bit more mindful next time. That’s all Saint and Fire are asking everytime they issue a note like this

Cheers!
