On the above stack, I had a dream
Dreamed a lot of stuff, but all that really stuck with me is my Commanding Officer in the Navy who I respected the most above them all…he asked me a question.
“Most everybody tells me that you’re slow and imperious. Is that true?”
I said “I may be slow on stuff I’ve never done before. But that’s because I need to make sure I hit all the steps and don’t miss anything. Gotta get it right. Once I’ve done something like a hundred times that’s when I’m faster “
I was explaining a bit more in detail when he just walked to his car and started rummaging.
I felt disappointed he wasn’t sticking around to hear the “good stuff” so I just kept telling what I was telling to others at the table we were at. Nobody seemed interested, though.
So I kinda just stopped talking. Felt “abandoned” and “Misunderstood”.

I don’t get the use of “imperious,” since that means either bossy and domineering…or “assuming power or authority without justification”
I don’t feel as if I do that, but my brain chose the one CO I respected above all else to bring it to my attention, so not sure what to make of it. But it seems important.
Yes, I’ve always been “slow” at stuff. but I also tend to try and get it right.
is the dream telling me I need to get faster? or maybe it was just more of an exploratory dream
