Some people apologize long enough and cultivate a community that is extremely controlling, hyper sensitive and they constantly want the creator to be a character. Not a person. That is not healthy. People are not like that. If youâre at a point in your life where you are getting upset at a person for asking another person for advice, youâre totally off the rails. There was a creator recently that apologized for using âafrican american vernacular englishâ such as the words âfrfr / Im finna gonnaâ. Basically the words black people say. And this girl went and apologized for using these words. She should have never done that. In apologizing for that, you enable people that are like this to become increasingly controlling over time and as they do, the space that youre allowed to exist in becomes smaller and smaller. Communities like this are self radicalizing. Its a russian nesting doll of purity tests. Eventually, something will come that will make half of those people happy and the other half unhappy. By apologizing for expressing yourself, you get two problems. The first one is that people now think that you are not authentic and the second problem is that people think that youâre a bad person.
So they either hate you for doing it or they hate you for apologizing for it. Do not let your fans micro manage you. You will not be able to express yourself truly and say how you really feel. Whenever you enable this type of behavior, it will always continue and it will always get worse. You can be wrong. You can be the only person in the room to have the âwrong opinionâ. Stop taking internet seriously. Itâs just internet. So detach, lay back and just enjoy it.
