I’m glad you understand about rest days. Also, you can reduce the number of loops. 1 loop a day is getting me results. It might work for you.
Over the last week, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking in regards to my goals. While my spiritual side is my main area of concern, I’ve also been dissatisfied with my weight. I switched jobs from doing shift work (fire department) to an office job (fire prevention) last year. During my time working in the office, I went out to eat all the time, stopped working out, and gained a ton of weight. I recently went back to doing shift work and feel embarrassed because of how heavy I am now.
I am thankful that the LIFE app has all the superchargers on it because I was able to try out The Beast Within and The Beast Unleashed. I couldn’t be more thankful that those were on there. I listened to those and actually worked out and pushed myself more than I have in the last year. I ended up buying Emperor Fitness Supreme. I’m going to be adding that to my stack starting on Tuesday.
So I’ll be listening to Alchemist x2, APX x1, and Emperor Fitness ST1 x1 for my five days on.
Thank you to the team here for making the app available for free, at least for now.
An interesting energy thing that has happened with me in the past maybe 2 or 3 months(?)
I do workings that are aimed at connecting and aligning with Source. Basically like a magickal prayer for lack of a better term. I treat it as a religious person might approach a kind of daily devotional kind of thing.
Well, at some point some months ago, as I was doing that, I must have felt a slight energy-flow sensation and I had the intuition to combine that practice with a basic energy work posture.
Similar to the 站樁 ‘standing post’ trainings that you see in internal martial arts.
A bit like this, but in a seated position.
This position makes it a bit easier to sense subtle energetic flows and shifts, and the interesting thing is that I started to notice such shifts at various points in the practice that I was doing. It just kind of happened spontaneously. So, I started doing it more. Not every time, but most of the time.
There are definitely points in a working or ritual at which I can feel energy more clearly.
This makes me think that the same thing would most likely happen with prayer and spiritual reflection.
So I just share this to say that it’s possible to be spontaneous and somewhat flexible in how you combine energy work with your spiritual practice. When a Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, atheist or whoever prays or connects to the Source (via whatever practice they choose), they are essentially plugging into an immensely powerful energy.
This is like a powerful freely available resource that can inform and guide energy practices. (Sort of like learning to harness solar power.)
As I mentioned before somewhere, an added benefit is that since typically in prayer, our focus is a bit less selfishly oriented (we’re connecting to this Ocean that surrounds us, rather than narrowly focused on individual progress), a relaxed, open, non-ambitious attitude that is more favorable to developing energy sensitivity may sometimes result.
Is there ear phones for like sleeping in that are recommended? I can’t seem find ones that are “flat” on Amazon.
Thanks for sharing this. Most of the time when praying I sit cross-legged. I don’t know why, I just find it works best for me. I’ll try the position you mentioned next time I practice the exercises in energy work.
In another post, you mentioned that the topic of energy is one of your passions. Have you had an awakening experience that led you on the journey that you’re currently on? I’ve read about Kundalini awakenings, and remember it being mentioned in Energy Work, but have little understanding of what it actually is. Most searches online bring up countless results talking about how dangerous and bad it is. What knowledge do you have on it, and is it as terrifying as people write about? I’ve heard meditation guru Joe Dispenza is basically trying to give people a Kundalini awakening but using science-based terms to make it seem less spiritual.
I’m not sure if these are flat response, but these are what I use when listening to Ultima tracks.
I wear these when going to bed and listen to Dreams Supercharger and Dreams Ultima. If you are a back sleeper they are comfortable. I’ll usually wake up at 1 or 2 AM and take them off and turn over.
I have seen sleep headphones that are basically a band with soft speakers that rest over your ears. But I do not know how effective they would be for listening to tracks while you sleep. Maybe @RVconsultant has some input on that.
By ear phones I meant smaller ear buds.
Truth is, every well-elaborated system of contemplative practice and development has its own version of what is referred to (in some of the Vedic paths) as Kundalini awakening. The reason is that the phenomenon itself is not the property of any particular school or tradition. It’s something that happens in the body-mind when a person passes through certain developmental stages. It’s a little bit like the term ‘Puberty’. It’ll be different in different languages, but every culture will have some related concept for the formal entry into the adult sexual phase of biological development; because that stage occurs naturally and inevitably in any healthy life that lasts long enough. (If you’re healthy and live long enough, you’re going to hit puberty whether you think and talk about it or not.)
I have not had the Kundalini awakening experience. (Well, not very strongly or dramatically.) I’m not interested in it. (Used to be.) I think all of these stages are natural and there’s no need to pursue them specifically for their own sakes. When I was a kid, I was excited to hear that I was ‘now in puberty’. But the truth is that I really didn’t know what it meant. It was more like reassurance that I was on the right track developmentally or something. I think we all just want to know that we are doing okay and are on the right track.
I have had other awakening-related experiences. So, that’s cool. Apparently there are still hungry and hurting people in the world, so it seems that my awakening experiences did not solve everything. That’s my take on it. But despite the blasé words, I do deeply appreciate every stage that I’ve been fortunate enough to experience. At some point, I saw that the essence of enlightenment was to recognize the intrinsic miraculousness of all conditions. Think about what that means: You’re enlightened when you’re able to experience the reality that you were already enlightened in the first place. Even before you experienced enlightenment.
I’m being facetious; but the basic point is true: relax and work on living well and you’ll hit the same mileposts in the end. Take the work seriously; do not take yourself seriously. That’s my take.
Do healthy things. Work at being less of an a-hole. If you succeed in becoming less of an a-hole, then, sure, throw a party for that. hahaha.
In my opinion, this is the true, great achievement of the Sage. The sage is someone who successfully becomes somewhat less of an idiot and somewhat less of an a-hole than most of his/her contemporaries. Congrats. Then if they’re very unfortunate, they end up surrounded by devoted, rabid followers who worship and aggrandize their achievements and clamor to give them emotional (and too often, actual physical) blowjobs/cunnilingus until they’re finally able to transcend this conventional plane and level-up to being the equivalent of a kindergarten student on some other, higher plane of existence.
Anyway, to map it over to the Vipassana/Theravada traditions: Kundalini awakening corresponds to stage 4 of the 16 Theravadin insight-stages, known as the Arising and Passing Away. The insight stages do not refer to intellectual insights, but to neurobiological configurations that correlate with attentional progress. (Kind of like how if your percentage body fat drops enough you suddenly ‘manifest a six pack’; when the concentration/attentional focus of a person intensifies to a sufficient degree, various phenomenological manifestations pop-up.)
Kundalini/A&P or whatever you call it manifests differently for different people. So, don’t bother getting too attached to any of the descriptions you hear. They may or may not match your own experience. If you’re honest with yourself, you may find that what you’re really hoping for is to finally feel okay. Don’t judge yourself over that (if it’s true for you). But save yourself some heartache, and just accept that that’s part of it. And realize, you still won’t be okay after Kundalini awakening. And in another completely true sense, you’re already okay before Kundalini awakening. Awakening is just another thing.
Kind of like great sex. It only really matters, if it doesn’t matter that much. If you’ve got an amazing relationship, then sex is a nice detail in it. But if you can’t physically be with the person for a month, it’ll probably still be a great relationship. On the other hand, if you hate and harm each other and loathe life and yourselves when together, but still have intensely pleasurable sex, then that’s probably still not enough to justify staying in the relationship.
These meditational attainments are the same. If you’re working on a good life, then they’re nice icing on the cake. If you’re living a loathsome life, then, meh. Nice fireworks, but you still need to work on that life.
FINAL EDIT: And Oh! hahaha. Just checked my ultrasonic playlist and saw that I’ve been playing Quantum Limitless stage 4 while writing this post! hahaha. This stuff is a trip.
I think this is where people get frustrated by the idea of having some kind of awakening. They are trying to make something happen.
Isn’t that applicable to any self-help venture? I think a lot of people attach too much of their identity and pride to their achievements. I’ve achieved some great things, but even after I achieved them I never felt any different. A lot of the things I have done matter more to other people than they did to me. It seems like people are looking for a fix to everything, but even after awakening, that fix doesn’t come.
Based on what you’re saying it seems like awakening comes from being happy and thankful for what you already have, anything after that is like getting a bonus. Haha, after reading your edit, Quantum Limitless seems like some serious stuff. Thank you for the reply.
Over the last couple of days, I’ve actually started to notice differences. They are small differences, and I’m happy with what I have experienced so far. I’m not sure what Alchemist ST1 is doing but I’ve been feeling more connected to things. Hard to describe, but when I was getting off work on Sunday morning I thought about one of my friends who I haven’t talked to in a long time. Later that day he called me up and was like this morning I was thinking that we haven’t talked in forever. It may just be a coincidence, either way, it was nice catching up with him.
I’ve also noticed that in general, I’ve been in a better mood. Tomorrow I have a forced overtime shift, but I’m not even mad about it. When I was told about the shift I immediately reframed it in a positive way and thought I’ll make a little extra cash and get to work with people I don’t see often. Along with the mood I’ve noticed that people have been really nice to me the last two days.
Finally, I realized how powerful these tapes are. I have had trouble remembering my dreams for years. Since using Dreams Supercharger and Dreams Ultima before bed I’ve been able to remember 2 to 3 dreams each night. During my two rest days, I was not able to remember any of my dreams. These Subliminals are the real deal. All these small changes make me excited for what is to come.
Dreams V2 is some powerful stuff. Last night was my second night listening to it. At about 4 AM I woke up and used the restroom. I came back to bed. I could tell I had a dream coming on and I also felt vibrations in my lower back. Since I could feel the vibrations I tried to make it an out-of-body experience. I kept telling myself I am next to my bed over and over. After a few times, I was next to my bed. I also experienced what Robert Bruce talks about in Astral Dynamics as dual awareness. I could feel myself outside of myself as well as feel my body sleeping with the vibrations in my lower back.
Outside of the body was similar to previous experiences I have had but this time I felt incredibly heavy. It was as if I weighed thousands of pounds and was unable to move. I yelled out, “please help me get up.” I felt something come help me get up and I was able to move around. Next was my vision, it looked as if there was an incredibly thick fog all throughout my room. I kept yelling, “clarity now!” Which is another thing I read to do, which helped. I was able to see extremely clearly. I walked to my door and things blanked out for a second.
I think here it transitioned to a dream because I lost some lucidity and awareness. The dream started with a row of bunker-like buildings. I was walking from building to building and looking inside. I knew I was dreaming at this point but was unable to make any changes or grow in lucidity.
So far, that was my first OBE and semi-lucid dream using APX and Dreams V2. Good stuff!
