My assumption on why “results” could potentially have some truth to it, is that from a higher perspective everything exists in the same quantum time line, it’s only our perception and sense of time that makes it feel real, but people much smarter then any of us here, quantum physicists have essentially proven that the now is the only “real” moment of existence, so assuming that this “future” you runs a title it could actually be effecting the current version of yourself because from a quantum perspective it is actually happening at the same time.
Apologies if that made absolutely no sense as my knowledge of string theory and quantum physics is very limited lol.
