The maximum frequency that a human hears at birth is 22,000 hz. Around the age of 45, he only perceives 14,000 hz.

What you can consciously or subconsciously perceive is another matter.
If the ear is not capable of perceiving certain frequencies, the messages do not reach the brain consciously or unconsciously.
A useful analogy is vision. If you are blind there is no way for visual subliminal messages to reach your brain in any way.
