You meant you paid your friend to obtain these subs? At this point I think it is better to let these go and consider what you paid sunk costs. I have no ties to SC other than using their products, but such blatant and entitled behavior disgusts me.
I think the best you can do is use only the subs you purchased directly from subclub, use the latest version and follow the official guidelines.
Stop using those you got from your friend. If you are able to afford now or in the future buy the same subs from subclub. But for the time being stop using them.
