AAC Bluetooth (iOS/MacOS)

Is it true that bluetooth will degrade the file to the point that it will no longer be effective?

I use iOS and MacOS and it uses AAC instead of SBC over bluetooth, if that makes any difference.

I’ll have to do some testing, but fwiw, the subs are made on MacOS and I listen to my subs via iPhone. So, the Mac isn’t an issue. The Bluetooth thing? Maybe.

Oh for sure, just thought I would mention it because Windows outputs via SBC (this is the default audio codec for bluetooth) if you don’t have a computer that has a bluetooth chip with AptX. I also forgot to mention that most Macs will use AptX if you also have bluetooth headphones that support it.

I pretty much only use bluetooth headphones when I am not at home, so hopefully this won’t be an issue.

Thanks in advance.

I’ve read in another forum that bluetooth’s compression has a negative effect on subliminals, which is why I now run a wired connection from my laptop to bluetooth speaker at night, or I’ll plug in my wired headphones when listening to a masked track during the day.

Since buying a bluetooth speaker to play Emperor when I’m home, my results have skyrocketed. Stop reading bullshit on forums claiming that subliminals won’t work unless you only listen to one at a time, in FLAC format only and on $3,000 studio quality Audio Technica headphones. I think most people on subliminal forums spend more time making excuses why it can’t work, telling the creator that he must add X, Y or Z to it in order for it to work or switching from one subliminal to the next every month or two than they do actually using the sub as intended.

Looking for reasons why it won’t work is as absurd as the people who listen for a day and then comment “nothing happened yet.” Just listen to the MP3 as often as you can every day and go on with your life.

I only use the micro SD card slot in the back of my Bluetooth speaker to play the subs, I figured it would be better that using Bluetooth.

So when I play Ascended Mogul through my high-end bluetooth headphones, I can no longer hear any of it. Limitless is completely inaudible to me but I can tell when Ascended Mogul is playing on my speakers; AM kinda sounds like the sound a hard drive makes when it is reading/writing.

Would this be enough to say it doesn’t work through AAC bluetooth?

I can definitely notice a major difference when I play it audio via Bluetooth and when I play them with my speaker wired to my laptop. So to be safe I decide to use my bluetooth speaker wired to my laptop at night while I listen to subs while I asleep. During the day I have it playing thru my laptop’s speakers, and when I’m sitting at my desk, I’ll plug in my wired Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones, which happen to be priced much cheaper than Bose and Beats, and I can tell you from experience, that the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro sound way better than those two high priced brands. And I believe that’s the reason why this particular model is still being produced after being in the market for a bit over 10 years now. Die hard audiophiles on a budget as well as DJ’s keep coming back to this well proven classic. It is available on Amazon, with free 2-day shipping if you have Amazon Prime.

Fun fact — the masked subliminals and the upcoming subliminal superchargers are mixed and mastered on Sennheiser HD 280’s

Great choice of headphones to mix and master tracks with. I’m thinking of modifying my pair with a 3.5 mm gold plated female jack so the cord can be detachable. That frees me up from the super long coiled cord when I’m sitting at my desk so close to my PC/laptop. I’ll be able to use a shorter cord at my desk, and also give me the ability to plug in a mini Bluetooth receiver so I can take it out on the road with me to listen to music off my phone/laptop/tablet.

I’ve got a pair of Sennheiser HD-580’s that I use to listen to hypnosis tracks. I have had them for 14 years and they sound great and are still going strong.
